Very hot and sexy chicken dish for all spice lovers. Heat tolerance can be adjusted to suit ones level
Ingredients:
- Chicken- 1/2 kg cut into pieces
- Onion - 2 large
- Ginger - 2 inch piece
- Garlic- 3 pods
- Green chillies- 2,slit
- Fennel seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper corns- 5
- Cinnamon stick- 2 pieces
- Pepper powder-2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
- Curry leaves- A handful
- Oil
- Water
- Coconut grated-1/2 cup
- Onion-2 tablespoon
- Pepper powder-2 tablespoon
- Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala- 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves
- Oil- 1 table spoon
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and roast the ingredients for roasting
- Add the onions, grated coconut,curry powder and saute till coconut turns brown( Do not burn them!)
- Now add the coriander powder,pepper powder,garam masala and fry till dark colour.
- Cool and grind them to a paste with minimum water.
- Meanwhile in another pan heat oil, add curry leaves, fennel seeds,pepper corns,cinnamon and stir well.
- Add ginger,garlic and slit chillies and saute till raw smell fades away.
- Now add the sliced onions ,turmeric powder,pepper powder and saute till onions turn light.
- Add the chicken pieces,little water,salt,cover and cook for 10 mins.
- Now add the ground paste to the chicken gravy and mix well.
- Cover and cook for 10 mins.
- Stir in between till the gravy thickens
