This simple chicken curry is very easy to make, less time consuming, a perfect match for rotis,ghee rice.

- Chicken- 1/2 kg
- Onion- 3 large
- Tomato-2
- Slit green chillies-4
- Garlic- 5 pods
- Ginger- 2 inch piece
- Curry leaves- a handful
- Salt- 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
- Red Chilly powder- 2 teaspoon
- Pepper powder- 3 teaspoon
- Oil for cooking
- water- 1 cup
- Coriander leaves-handful(optional)
Ingredients for marination:
- Red chilly powder- 2 teaspoon
- Pepper powder- 2 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder-1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
- Salt-1 teaspoon
- Ginger garlic paste- 2 teaspoon
- Marinate the cut chicken pieces and keep aside for minimum 30 mins.
- Thinly slice the onions and tomatoes
- Cut the ginger into fine parts, garlic into half.
- Heat oil in a pan
- Saute the onion till golden brown.
- Add ginger,garlic,chillies and tomatoes.
- Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,pepper powder.
- Cover and cook for 1 min.
- Add the chicken pieces , pour water,stir well.
- Cover and cook in medium flame for about 20 mins, stirring in between
- Cook till the gravy becomes thick.
- Add curry leaves,mix well,cook for another 5 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
